After several disasters in at the hairdresser’s, Francis has perfectioned the skill of cutting his own hair, and would never lay it upon someone else to cut it.

Neuroses? Do they recognize them as such?

I had to look up what a neurosis was, and I’m… not sure if I quite understand, but if I have - yes. He has had them. Mostly during time of uproar or war, he will get more.. nervous. Paranoid, even. But these things pass with time, and as his situation changes.

Childhood illnesses? Any interesting stories behind them?

Of course, he has gone through most serious illnesses, that would kill a normal child - but nothing very interested happened. I guess people were surprised when he live through things when everyone else died, but he had already reached the awareness that he was not quite like the other kids at that time.

Reaction to sudden intrapersonal disaster (eg close family member suddenly dies)

He’ll freak out. And cook. Francis loves cooking, but when he’s sad, it is the only thing he does. You’ll find 1000 different cakes and things in his kitchen, and none are eaten. And he will cry - all the time. He’ll seem okay, and then just suddenly burst out crying. But only inside his house - outside he will keep the facade clean.

Would you say that they have a superiority-complex? Inferiority-complex? Neither?

Superiority-complex by far. He really does believe that there is no country better than France, and that the French way is the best way to do something. He do know that other people do certain things better than him, but he still likes to pretend like he’s better.

underanenglishheaven asked: "Winter"

Francis can’t stand the winter. It is cold, the fashion either makes you freeze or look like an over-stuffed sausage and there is snow. Snow in France tends to make everything just stop.

His house is old enough to get really cold during winters, and he doesn’t like being restricted to the rooms in his house where there is heating.

It is also wet and makes everything wet and it does not please him at all.

Bonus image this is my headcanon of Francis in the winter ok:

"I read because it’s only by hearing the voices of others that I can find my own. Their words help to shape what’s at the core of me, the things I didn’t even realize were there. Without the works of Catullus, I wouldn’t know that sometimes even my best friend can be a great protruding cock—you may quote him on that—and without Austin, I wouldn’t know that romance can be as quiet as a dormouse and still move me to tears. It’s like drifting down a hallway filled with thousands of lovers, each one teaching me some new facet of myself, each one’s words branding me, instilling a change in my composition. I read […] and I discover myself anew. The final lover at the end of the hall is me."
